Working together to drive inclusion
The construction industry is changing, caused by widespread transformations in society, as people adopt new lifestyles, their careers are evolving, and they increasingly wish to enter professions that are both useful and responsible. At VINCI Construction, we strongly believe that inclusion can be leveraged to adequately respond to such shifts. By mobilising our teams and celebrating our local initiatives, we are taking concrete action to foster a more open, tighter-knit workplace.
“What brings us together at VINCI Construction is our passion for building. It is our vocation to build the future. Because we understand the major social transformations underway, and we are aware we have an important role to play as a leading force in the global construction industry, we promise to act as a more inclusive builder and employer.”

Our approach to building the future
VINCI Construction is made up of
- 117,000 employees
1,300 companies operating in over 100 countries
We build infrastructure and buildings that serve the public interest, and because we strive to represent a force for good, we take action to boost equality, diversity and inclusion in order to better reflect the society we serve.
As a major player in the industry, we have decided to pick up the pace of our efforts and spread the word about what we are doing to bring about a more positive, inclusive future!
Our action plan for inclusion
Deploying an inclusive culture is a long-term strategy. It represents the sum of each local initiative that together power a deep-rooted transformation in our culture. We have identified three major pillars, which may vary and be supplemented depending on the challenges faced locally by each of our companies.
Community involvement
In order to nurture a culture of social cohesion and engage with the charitable actions taking place in the areas in which we operate, we encourage our employees to get involved in community initiatives.
Local VINCI Construction companies play their part through the Fondation VINCI pour la Cité as well as programmes specific to certain projects or regions, such as Chantiers et Territoires Solidaires, the ISSA programme, Solidari’terre, etc.
These efforts also involve supporting local non-profits, mentoring young people, supporting long-term unemployed people back into work and boosting social integration in the local community.
1
Inclusion for all talent
Enabling everyone to develop their skills, as well as encouraging and supporting equal opportunities and gender diversity in management.
Our objective is to ensure at least 30% of management positions at VINCI Construction are held by women by 2030.
2
Inclusion through employment
Training, supporting and recruiting people who have been unemployed for a long time.
Our objective is to help people who have been unemployed for a long time back into work by providing appropriate training and tailored support.
3
Inclusion through health
We support and keep people living with long-term illnesses or disabilities in work.
Our objective is to provide tailored support to help people deal with such challenges and foster well-being at work for all.
