VINCI Construction bolsters its tunnel expertise in the United States with the acquisition of Bradshaw Construction

Soletanche Bachy (subsidiary of VINCI Construction) completed the acquisition of Bradshaw Construction, an American company specialised in microtunnels and underground works.
Founded 60 years ago, the company based in Eldersburg, Maryland, operates along the east coast of the United States, from Florida to Maine and from Colorado to Texas. Bradshaw Construction now employs around 50 people, generating annual revenue of US$30 million.
Bradshaw Construction is a leading contractor in the art of microtunnelling in hard rock. The company provides state-of the-art tunnel building techniques using tunnel supports and pipe jacking. It owns and operates an extensive fleet of heavy and underground construction equipment, enabling it to cover the range of diameters sought after in the North American market.
The acquisition further solidifies Soletanche Bachy’s strong local presence in the United States, built up by its subsidiaries Nicholson Construction, Hub Foundation, Bessac Inc. and Soletanche Bachy International Inc. By joining Soletanche Bachy, Bradshaw Construction will be able to capitalise on the technical expertise of a world leading contractor in foundations and underground work, especially with respect to equipment design, EXEGY® low-carbon materials, integrated engineering and R&D.
