Deep Foundations are required when near-surface soils cannot adequately support structural loads on shallow foundations. Deep foundations are used to transmit loads to stronger soil or rock at greater depths. When the foundation is less than 6 metres deep it is called semi-deep. Beyond that it is called a deep foundation.

VINCI Construction offers substantial capabilities in this specialised business activity in France and the rest of the world.

For pile-type deep foundations, the most widespread technique, Soletanche Bachy has two specialised subsidiaries: SB Pieux and E2F, which have more than 200 common equipment sets around the world and cover virtually all the techniques available.

In France, Botte Fondations, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction France, is a leader in special foundations. It has a variety of agencies and sales offices in the regions and operates throughout the country to meet your ground works requirements: foundation piles, micro-piles, anchors, injection, jet grouting, diaphragm walls, retaining structures and sounding.
